Story

Allie and I got together in the beginning of 2009.  We dove right into our relationship by going to Bonnaroo together four months into the relationship.  After completing that endurance challenge we knew then and there that we had something good.

Over the course of time as all couples do we learned more and more about each other.  While we both shared our love of music, it was the separate interests of writing and photography that brought along this whole idea.

Allie has been an avid photographer for over 10 years after getting a Canon 35mm in 2003.  Nature is always one of Allie's favorite subjects, but taking photos at the number of shows we attend has become the norm.  I recall seeing Strangefolk at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY and walking away with almost 300 digital photos.  I couldn't believe it.

While she has yet to transition to a digital SLR camera, modern technology has allowed us to capture many awesome shots from New Haven to Tennessee to Ohio all on either a smaller digital camera or the all purpose smart phone.

Allie also does promotional work for The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY.  She has been a part of their Street Team for a little over a year.  Last summer she also promoted the upstate New York festival Catskill Chill as part of their Street Team.  It has not only given her the opportunities to attend more shows, but also meet many new people.  This has sparked a new interest in the promotional aspect of live music.

Ever since 2009 we have continued to frequent many of the local venues here in Connecticut as well as the surrounding areas.  We also try to get to as many festivals as we can.  We have each been going to music festivals for over 10 years and have no plans to stop anytime soon.
